Colonial Times “Under the Crown”

March 21 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Save the date and step back in time at the Living History Park’s annual Colonial Times Under the Crown event! This free, family-friendly celebration brings the colonial times to life with historical reenactors offering an immersive glimpse into the American Revolution and daily life during the British occupation.

Throughout the day, enjoy hands-on demonstrations such as pottery making, weaving, spinning, candle making, butter churning, blacksmithing, gunsmithing, musket firing, needlework, woodworking, beehive-oven baking, and traditional meat smoking and curing.

Visitors of all ages can play colonial games, learn period songs, and sample freshly baked treats at the Sweet Shoppe. Try your steps at colonial dancing, test your mettle to see if you’re fit to join the militia, and meet traders, backwoodsmen, a milliner, a tavern keeper, and sutlers bringing the village to life.

Browse period-authentic wares at the Village Mercantile, and don’t miss a special piece of film history—the lathe used in The Patriot, on display in the New Windsor cabinet shop.

Join in for a day of history, craftsmanship, and hands-on fun you won’t forget!
